Overview

On average, our foster carers earn £537.12 per week, based on caring for one 11 to 15 year old child.

How much you earn depends on the age of the child and type of care you provide.

Alongside your fee, you get an allowance for things like food, clothes and activities.

On top of that, you can claim expenses and additional benefits.

Most foster carers pay no income tax at all on their earnings. Find out about fostering tax arrangements on GOV.UK

When a child leaves your care, you will continue to be paid your fee for up to 28 days if you have no other child in placement.
